Max

Max and his new best friend..
Max is one of many Anatolian Shepherd that have been re-homed through DogsOnly Rescue. We work closely with The National ANatolian Shepherd Rescue Network and volunteers from all over America to help find homes for this remarkable breed.

The Anatolian Shepherd is a large and powerful dog, and as such is not suited for everyone. They were bred for hundreds, if not thousands of years in their native Turkey as livestock guardians for the flocks of semi-nomadic shepherds. Their natural foes included wolves, bears, and wild boar. Apparently horses make good playmates.
