Buddy
is a solid white Cockapoo who is searching
for a new home. He is around 3 years old.
He is a designer dog and is half Cocker
Spaniel/Poodle. He is around 20 lbs and
is a low-shed dog. His breed was selected
because they are said to be less allergic
to children with alot of allergies. My daughter
and I have had him since he was 10 weeks
old. He has received excellent medical care
thus far. Into his 3rd month of us owning
him I noticed he had a shiny part on his
left eye so I made an appointment with an
ophthalmologist who travels in from Memphis.
He confirmed to us that Buddy had cataracts
in both eyes but was he was in fact operable.
As a single parent, I am not financially
able to get this surgery nor was his sight
at the point where is was necessary. Recently
Buddy snipped at my daughter when he was
startled on accident so this is the secondary
reason for us to place in a home. We feel
this is completely related to Buddy having
vision problems and not being able to see
clearly. Therefore I think someone who wants
to adopt Buddy should either be a gentle
couple or someone without children or much
older children who would be gentle and respectful
of Buddy and his medical issue. This breed
is extremely loving and he is by far one
of the sweetest dogs ever. I would like
to find Buddy a wonderful and loving home
where the family will appreciate him and
his personality. He loves to cuddle and
have his belly rubbed especially his tickle
spot. He loves the outdoors and needs to
have a safe place to run and play. He needs
to have a smaller fenced-in area to run
safely where he can see free from trees
and bushes or needs to be leashed. His biggest
obstacle is learning new surroundings because
of his sight. This little guy is going to
make a great addition to someone’s
home as he did ours.
Buddy
is neutered and all up to date on his vetcare.
He runs and plays and is very well socialized.
He is crate-trained and house-trained. He
knows all common commands and is a great
traveler. He would would be a ideal for
a retired couple that leads an active life.
He has a very outgoing personality and loves
to go to the groomer and be pampered. He
has been the light of our life and has added
so much. He loves getting exercise and enjoys
being an active part of the family.
