| Meet Baby Duke! Baby Duke is a 10 month old neutered male Anatolian Great Pyrenees. Born on December 14 in 2005, he’s already a whooping 110 pounds, and still growing. Needless to say, he’s going to be a very big boy when he grows up. Duke's original owner expected him to be big, but not this big, and with no sign that Baby Duke’s growing appeared to be slowing down any time soon, he simply outgrew his elderly owners lap. Despite his size, Baby Duke is still a sweet and affable young pup. Always very happy and friendly, Baby Duke is a great big ol' teddy bear of a companion canine.
While we help Baby Duke to find his new family, he is living in a foster home in Little Rock. A fee applies to his adoption, but this covers all of his vet care to include spay, rabies, all vaccinations, micro-chipping, Frontline for flea/tick preventative, HW check and preventative and payment of 50% of basic training classes. Because of his size and breed mix, we would encourage you not to consider Baby Duke if you do not have experience with Anatolian Shepherds, Great Pyrenees or other large breed canine companions. Baby Duke is going to need high grade food and regular check ups at the vets to ensure he continues to develop and grow without problems, and he will need plenty of exercise and attention. Homes with small children would to well to consider a smaller breed, because a young puppy like Baby Duke could easily knock small children down during play.
